Emergency Procedures Fire

In case of a fire that is contained to a specific area (trash can, microwave, small equipment):

• Evacuate only the immediate area
• Locate the nearest fire extinguisher
• Use the fire extinguisher according to the proper method.
• Notify Administration immediately after the fire has been extinguished.
• Clean the area to remove further hazards.
• Fill out an incident report completely.

In the event of a fire that is not contained:

• Evacuate the immediate area and surrounding areas
• Pull the fire alarm as you are on your way OUT of the building
• Notify Administration immediately
• Keep all staff and students away from the area
