Transfer of Credit Policy

FCSON will consider accepting transfer credits earned at another accredited post-secondary institution accredited by an agency recognized by the US DOE. An official transcript must be sent directly to FCSON.

The applicant may be required to provide a copy of a detailed syllabus for the course that includes a topical outline of the course’s content. A grade of “C” must have been earned for the course.

The Registrar and the Dean of General Education will meet to review and make the final determination as to whether the course or courses requested for transfer credit meet all required criteria and whether transfer credit will be granted.

If completed within one year of starting either the Practical Nursing or the Associate of Applied Science in Nursing (AAS) program, all Anatomy and Physiology courses.  Nursing courses considered for transfer credits are NUR100, Pharm100, Pharm225, NUR205, NUR215, and NUR125 if completed within two (2) years.

All other general education courses completed within ten years may also be considered for transfer credit. Refer to the Transfer of Credit Policy for details and additional information.
